This is how I work with new Freelance Projects. Agency projects are handled similarly, but can vary based on the team and management requirements.
Communication and expectation setting make sure everyone is on the same page with project goals and what the definition of success is.
This step can include multiple iterations and collaborative meetings. I provide recommendations and focus on the user's needs to design a solution.
The best part of this process is working through multiple options and deciding which to move forward with. From there we refine the details.
